Luca Zappia Architect

I was born in Genoa in 1972 and graduated in Architecture with a thesis on a light rail system for the city of Parma.

My professional training began in 1996 with the practice of architects Bandini, Marsullo and Postani (later T.E.M.A. Architetti Associati). I contributed to the practice's design and research work and took part in several national and international design competitions.

In 2002 I joined the technical team at Frigerio Design Group, gaining experience in the design and management of projects on a national scale. During the same period, I developed a particular interest in sustainable architecture, environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.

In 2005 I worked with Archipunto Contract S.r.l., completing my professional training and developing my skills in managing turnkey projects and interior design.

In 2006 I established my own practice, with quality and responsiveness as its guiding principles.

Between 2006 and 2009 I worked closely with architect Roberta Chirivì and Studio Tecnico Garassino-Ronchi. This work strengthened my experience in urban planning, health and safety coordination on complex construction sites, and structural design.

In December 2008 I became an accredited energy performance assessor for the Liguria Region, further developing my work in energy efficiency.

In March 2011 I concluded my external collaborations to focus on my architecture practice in Genoa. Alongside the design of buildings and apartments throughout Liguria, I continued to work in construction safety, including the coordination of prestigious and complex sites. Environmental issues and energy upgrades remain central to my design work.
